His current schedule includes performances with: The Carolina MoonDogs (highly popular 11-pc funk/rock/pop show band); The Moonlighters Big Band (Raleigh); The Jim McCann Jazz Project (Raleigh; Chill Factor (Pinehurst); the Bavarian Hoffbrau Orkestra (Ashville); and is the leader/drummer/vocalist/music director of the highly regarded Connections Praise Band at Pinehurst Methodist Church; as well as other free-lance assignments. He had also been a substitute musician in the pit orchestras of the Cape Fear Regional Theater and the Moore On-Stage Regional Theater. In the past, he has been the leader of his own 9-piece variety band, Swing Street.
When he is not playing and singing with various North Carolina groups and musicians, he teaches private drum, brass, and beginning piano students in his downtown Southern Pines, NC studio. Due to his extensive past experience in the drum and bugle corps activity, he has coached the drum line of the award-winning Union Pines High School Marching Vikings and does extensive teaching to up and coming marching band drummers. He has also served as the Adjunct Professor of Jazz Drumming at the University of North Carolina - Pembroke.
